Britney Spears is finally free, and now that she is, details of how she was treated by her own parents are coming out.
Spears is sharing her stories of being held captive financially by her parents and says that he family “should be in jail,” for what they did during her 13-year conservatorship.
It’s clear some people could make the conclusion that Britney’s dad Jaime was basically a scumbag based on the stories that have been revealed, but even Britney’s own “church-going mother” was in on the abuse Britney claims.
“I do know how embarrassing is to share the fact I’ve never seen cash or wasn’t able to drive my car ….But honestly it still blows my mind every day I wake up how my family and the conservatorship were able to do what they did to me … it was demoralizing and degrading !!!!”
Britney says she’s been trained and forced to keep her mouth shut over the years while her family ruled over her with an iron fist, but those days are over, now that a judge freed her from conservatorship last week.

If you’re curious what a conservatorship is, well, it’s a legal framework that put all of the control of her financial and personal decision into the hands of someone else. She had no control over the money she earned.
