It would be fun to be a fly on the wall of the next taping of Shark Tank. I’m sure Mark Cuban, Daymond John, and Barbara Corcoran will have no problem letting Mr. Wonderful have it for his foray into the swamps with his big-dollar FTX endorsement.

And as for Cuban, well, he’s not in love with crypto in general, but he’s also not mad at it.

He said the past year was full of hype, but it’s not the worst investment in the world. Here’s what he told Jon Stewart on his Apple TV show “The Problem with Jon Stewart.” Nobody watches Stewart’s show, so we must showcase this quote, so it reaches people.

“There’s the signal and the noise. In crypto, 99% of it was noise. But there’s real value and signal there.”

Make no mistake about it, crypto and digital investments, in general, got pummeled in 2022. Remember in January when the news of NFTs was such a sexy story?

Bitcoin will be down 54% in 2022. At one point, a single coin sold for almost $70,000 in November of 2021. Now you can get one for $17K.

Another cryptocurrency that has seen its value pounded this year; is dogecoin. Cuban decided to have his NBA team accept that crypto as a payment method for Dallas Maps tickets and mercy.

Last winter, you could buy a Lukas Doncik long-sleeved t-shirt in a Mav’s team shop for the price of a dogecoin coin.  Times have changed. The cost of a single coin now is under a dollar.
