This might not be the greatest news for people freaked out by Ronald McDonald and his cast of oddball friends like the Hamburglar and Mayor McCheese, but McDonald’s is bringing back that crew for a special promotion; Happy Meals for adults.

Beginning October 3, the new Happy Meal for adults debuts, and customers can open up the box and find toys with their Big Mac or chicken McNuggets. The special meal is called a Cactus Plant Flea Market Box, a collab between Mickey D’s and the streetwear brand.

The boxes are unique and custom designed for the promotion, and the toys include an updated look on Grimace, Birdie, Hamburglar, and something new called Cactus Buddy.

Does this sound enticing? It’s not working for me quite yet.

Cactus Plant Flea Market got launched into public consciousness courtesy of Kanye West and Pharrell. Their gear is not cheap; hoodies can be priced as high as $1,000 on StockX.

These celeb collars are the rage for McDonald’s, and it’s been a success.  They’ve partnered in the last two years with BTS, J Balvin, and the promotion with Travis Scott was so popular that many locations ran out of meals.

Here’s a quote from McDonald’s CMO Tariq Hassan.

“We’re taking one of the most nostalgic McDonald’s experiences and literally repackaging it in a new way that’s hyper-relevant for our adult fans.”

This one seems like a stretch. An adult-only Happy Meal.  What’s next? Big Wheels for Harley Davidson owners?
