A Texas bankruptcy judge has approved the auction of Alex Jones’ Infowars media platform and its assets to help pay over $1 billion owed to families of the Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting victims. The auctions will begin in November and aim to distribute a portion of the proceeds to the families, although the total amount raised is expected to fall short of the $1.5 billion in damages awarded.

Despite the liquidation, Jones has vowed to continue his media activities through other means, possibly with the support of his followers purchasing the assets. The judge has clarified that the trustee overseeing Jones’ personal bankruptcy controls all the assets of Free Speech Systems, Infowars’ parent company.
