The marathon has now turned into a sprint to the finish line, and Donald Trump is not going to miss out on an opportunity to get in front of voters. The president has plans to hold 14 campaign rallies between Saturday and Monday as he will be zigzagging across the country in one big final push before Election Day.

Trump will begin the rally bonanza in Pennsylvania, with four different stops on Saturday. He will then make stops in Michigan, Iowa, North Carolina, Georgia and Florida on Sunday; then on Monday he will return to North Carolina and Pennsylvania, with two stops in Michigan and then also hit Wisconsin. Whew! That’s a whirlwind schedule that may better be described as a full-blown tornado.

Clearly the president isn’t dealing with any lingering effects of his COVID-19 diagnosis at the beginning of October. Trump also hasn’t ruled out the possibility of traveling on Election Day. So, there is a good chance we could see one final round of rallies before the polls close.

Joe Biden, meanwhile, has not been holding large campaign events due to the coronavirus pandemic. The Democratic nominee has instead opted for drive-in campaign events across the country, where attendees are encouraged to honk their horns in support. Biden has often referred to the Trump rallies as “super spreader” events. Biden visited three states on Friday, marking the first time he had pulled off a three-state swing since capturing the Democratic nomination. Biden is expected to be in Michigan on Saturday and Pennsylvania on Sunday and Monday.

The contrasting schedule and number of rallies is striking as the election season enters its final 72 hours.
