Here’s something that’s about as rare as seeing a polar bear taking a steam shower. A prominent member of the mainstream media (ABC Television) not glowingly endorsing Joe Biden. In fact, ABC’s chief global affairs correspondent, Martha Raddatz, came very close to saying something negative about the Democratic presidential candidate. It happened on ABC’s “The View,” and Whoopi Goldberg teed her up with a very simple question. “Martha, you went on a 6,000-mile road trip across America to see what was on voters’ minds,” she said. “What did you find out?”

Raddatz opened up by reporting that her coast to coast jaunt showed her that the majority of people aren’t overly concerned about Covid. “I was very surprised, Whoopi, because [in regards to] COVID, when you cross the country, you wouldn’t really know it’s happening. I was really shocked at how few people were wearing masks in certain areas. It’s like ‘I’m tired of this. I’ll just get back doing what I wanted to do before.’”

The conversation shifted to politics, and Raddatz essentially said that from what she witnessed on her epic roadie, Americans find the “Sleepy Joe” nickname that President Trump has stuck him with as being accurate. “I also found there wasn’t a whole lot of enthusiasm for Joe Biden. There’s a lot of enthusiasm among Democratic voters and some independents to get Donald Trump out, but not necessarily that enthusiasm.”

No word if that comment earned Raddatz a lifelong ban from appearing again as a guest “The View,” but it does bring a hint of suspicion to the huge lead Biden reportedly has on most national polls.
