The apple doesn’t seem to fall too far from the tree in the late Aaron Hernandez’s family. The former New England Patriots tight end was arrested back in 2013 and convicted in 2015 of killing semi-professional football player Odin Lloyd.

Hernandez’s older brother, Dennis “DJ” Hernandez, is now being accused of throwing a brick at ESPN headquarters in Bristol. He has been charged with a second-degree breach of peace.

According to a report from the Bristol police department, an officer went to ESPN after statements were made by Dennis “DJ” Hernandez about wanting to destroy property at the State Capitol and ESPN.

The 36-year-old allegedly took an Uber to ESPN’s headquarters in Bristol and threw a white plastic bag with a large brick inside and a handwritten note attached to it, stating:

“To all media outlets, it’s about time you realeyes (sic) the affect media has on all family members. Since you’re a worldwide leader maybe you could lead how media and messages are delivered brick by brick. Clean it up!” the police report says. It was signed, “Yours truly, Dennis J. Hernandez.”

ESPN security then shut down the entrance and exits to the campus as a precaution. Police said Hernandez admitted that he was at the ESPN location but did not wish to speak about the incident.

He was released on a $5,000 bond with a court date set for April 13.
