Give Joe Montana credit for at least not being delusional.

The four-time Super Bowl champion, and former San Francisco 49er legendary QB confirmed to ESPN what every football fan who isn’t in concussion protocol has known for a very long time…

Tom Brady is the best quarterback of all time.  Joe Montana made the obvious admission himself.

“I think Tom has, you know, taken his place on the top up there a long time ago,” Montana said.

“So he’s had a tremendous career, is fun to watch. Yeah, there’s always — everybody always contests over that, but I think if you look at what Tom has been able to accomplish in his time that he’s played, I think it puts him definitely up there in the top of the list,” Montana admitted.

Montana had even more safe, vanilla commentary on the subject. “There’s a lot of great guys, as I said, before me, even you go back to Otto Graham, who won ten or eleven championships. So it’s hard to compare them, but you know if you’re looking at it, yeah, definitely Tom at that point.”

Joe, let me break some news to you.  I don’t care if he won 111 championships, Otto Graham isn’t as good as Jimmy Garappolo. or Matthew Stafford.

And while I’m at it, comparing Tom Brady to Joe Montana is like comparing the Fourth of July to Flag Day.  Both are patriotic holidays, and if not for the Fourth of July, Flag Day would be the best patriotic holiday on the calendar.

However, the Fourth of July does exist, it’s so much better, and there is absolutely no comparison.

Joe, you are an awesome Flag Day.  But Tom Brady is the Fourth of July.
